Derek Ames

It’s that helpful feeling that Derek appreciates most about working at Timmco and one that continues to make every conversation he has with his clients an opportunity to guide them towards protecting what matters most.

After graduating from Gonzaga University with a degree in business administration, Derek moved to Portland with his wife Susie, who is also a Timmco agent. Following a career in commercial banking, Derek was drawn to Timmco by a call to educate and translate complicated insurance jargon to simple terms everyone understands. In addition to being a team player at Timmco, Derek coaches the company sponsored Wilshire-Riverside Little League team. Derek also enjoys dining at one of Portland’s many locally owned establishments with Susie and their four sons.
