School Supply Drive in Gear

We’re pleased to report that for the 4thconsecutive year, our agency is supporting the KGW School Supply Drive in August. Agent Susie Ames is leading our effort and hopes our great customers will do something to help us outfit 12,000 area students with the tools they will need to be successful from the first day of school this fall.  he sales on school supplies have already begun at neighborhood and national retailers. Please help us assist those who need help in getting basic school tools such as pencils, markers, bottled glue, notebooks, scissors, glue sticks, and erasers to our office nearest you this month? Collected supplies stay in the school district where they are collected, so it’s truly a local effort to help neighbors. Susie and agent-husband Derek are the parents of four school students (all boys ages 5-15), so they understand the ‘fun’ this season holds for families. Susie says, “Getting students ready for school every year can place a burden on the family budget. New clothes, shoes, and backpacks are just the beginning for most students. Many youngsters also face a ton of necessary supplies from the teachers’ classroom lists. We’re trying to help those families on the margin support their students again this year and we hope you can help!” Thanks for anything you can contribute to the school supply drive that wraps up Friday, August 23. Just stop by our offices on the East or West side to drop off your generous donations before those big yellow buses hit the streets again!
